Learn French in Paris - A Personalized Approach

In this class, two aspects of the French language are approached: relational French and academic French.
Each person can assess their own progress and set clear objectives.
Here are some examples of skills that you will be able to develop. They are classified in order of difficulty. Teaching choices are made according to your priorities and your level.

Relational French

  • Phonetics: to clearly speak French
  • To properly use vocabulary used in one’s immediate environment: town, home, administration
  • To conduct a conversation with a person outside (shop staff, administration...)
  • To introduce oneself and introduce one’s close relations, to talk about one’s projects
  • To express one’s opinions (on a film, an exhibition...)
  • To receive guests at home speaking French (dinners, receptions.) and become familiar with local customs

Academic French

  • Phonetics:  to clearly speak French
  • To introduce oneself and introduce one’s close relations, to talk about one’s projects
  • To orally analyze a written document (press article, conversations, literary extracts...),  audio-visual or sound (report, advertising, film extract...)
  • To express one’s point of view in an argued way
  • To express oneself by using formal language
  • To read and understand a play written by Molière (in french)

In any case, whether your objective is to be able to express yourself on a daily basis or to prepare an exam (DELF, DALF), command of French requires genuine participation. Personal work is essential to progress and is also required to retain what was learnt.
